You can now preview linked pages on Wikipedia

Experience in Wikipedia can be sometimes frustrating as to get info or meaning of a term written in one article is linked to another page. It would have been better if you can preview the link and decide for yourself if the link is useful or not.

Wikipedia added a new feature this week addressing this problem. Now you can preview the linked pages right from the main article.

“Each reader is interacting with the content of more pages while navigating the site,” and that the site’s overall page views have gone down as a result. – Wikimedia corporation.

Low page views dosent mean bad thing for Wikipedia. It just states that people find this feature useful and it provides enough info about the linked page that visiting that page no longer becomes necessary.
