What is the maximum number of cameras you have seen on a smartphone?? Well, if your answer is 4, LG can now prove you wrong by showing you the V40 ThinQ. Yep, you guys read that right. This thing has 5 cameras on it, 3 in the rear and 2 in the front. We will detail the cameras a bit more, later.

The LG V40 ThinQ comes in with Qualcomm’s latest flagship offering, the Snapdragon 845 SoC along with 6 GB of RAM. Internal storage varies as 64 or 128 GB. The display is a massive 6.4 inch pOLED screen with QHD+ (3120 x 1440 pixels) resolution. The phone is also quite sleeky at 7.7mm of thickness. The phone comes in 4 colors- black, gray, blue and red. It is IP68 rated for ingress protection.

Now lets move to main highlight of the phone. The Cameras. On the rear LG has used 3 lenses- a 12 MP standard lens, a 12MP telephoto lens, and a 16MP super wide-angle lens (107 degree). So, its pretty much everything you could ask from the cameras. LG just gave everything in on the cameras. On the other side you get 2 sensors- a 8 MP standard lens and a 5 MP wide angle lens. Both can be used together for portrait photo effects with a manual slider to adjust the background blur. There are a bunch of software effects integrated to the cameras like the AI cam, Cine Shot, 3D light effect, MakeUp Pro, My Avatar, Custom Backdrop and AR Emoji.

Also the Speakers have been highly improved. It has a 32 bit Hi-Fi Quad DAC. When placed of a solid surface the phone acts as a woofer by amplifying the bass from the speaker.

The phone does look like a great all round package. In the US, the phone is priced at 900$ and will be available starting October 18. LG says the pricing and availability in other markets will be revealed when it launches the device in those specific markets.

So, what do you think of the LG V40 ThinQ?? Do you think it can replace the Note 9 as the ultimate big screen Android flagship of 2018?? Tell us in the comments.

Until then, Peace.
