Indian Railways has developed an artificially intelligent robot to check for faults in the train, the name USTAAD stands for Underground Surveillance Through Artificial Assisted Droid. Central Railway has developed this system to make train safer by eliminating human error.

This system is developed by the mechanical branch of Central railway’s Nagpur division, which examines part of the coach in real time with cameras and transmits them over Wifi. USTAAD is a prototype and if it succeeds, railway department will consider using USTSAAD across all railways
