Facebook every year hosts its F8 conference unveiling new features and products. This is a list of things facebook unveiled this time at F8.
Facebook announced its entry into dating arena. You’ll have to opt into this, create a profile and it will recommend or show you people interested based on your data which facebook have been collecting. It’s just like Tinder or any other dating apps just with data based recommendation. Facebook’s focus with this is to meet up people with long-term or sustained relationship goals and not quick hookups like what tinder became to be. It will also suggest events and groups for the meetup. It wouldn’t show you people which are on your friend list and when you match with someone, you’ll be able to chat in a separate inbox (no messenger or whatsapp support) with text only messages for security. Facebook has already become saturated with its host of features that now it’s overwhelming, but still here is another addition. It’s good that facebook is always trying to up its game but it needs to manage it the right way in its app and website.
Improved data privacy feature “Clear history”

This is just the start of what AI could bring. VR mode does look cool but there is no clear info on how much data it needs to create such 3d models of the surrounding. Facebook says it is capable of creating your childhood home.
