The night skies, private Chinese company has claimed it will launch an artificial moon by 2020 as a replacement for street lights for Chengdu city, capital of China’s Southwest. As an Illumination satellite this moon 2.0 will reflect sunlight onto earth and will be  8 times brighter than the natural moon. It orbits much closer to earth about 500 km away. If the project succeeds, it could be joined by 3 more moons in the sky in 2022.

But some dismissing reports state that this could adversely affect animal life cycles but the company says this will save several billion dollars of electric charge. Well, Sky with 2 moons is not far in the future!
